About S.A.C.A. -                                                                                                                                                                 Sioux Addition Civic Association (SACA) is a non for profit, tax exempt, community development organization, which serves low income Native American families in the Rapid City, South Dakota and whole Indian Community area. Sioux Addition Civic Association is governed by a six member, all Native Board of Directors.  

Mission - To work for the general improvement of Sioux Addition and whole Indian Community, to conduct progragms/activities for education, health, human, social services, economic development, civic betterment, amusement, entertainment of members and others, to develop, and enhance quality of life for family to promote self-sufficiency, cultural identity, and to engage in all such activities as may from time to time be deemed in the best interset of the area and whole Indian Community.

History -  Sioux Addition Civic Association was established in 1954 as an Indian Community on Trust Land Status under the 1868 Black Hills Federal Treaty, and Incorporated as a Non for Profit Community Organization in 1966.  Sioux Addition was encouraged by the Rapid City Mayor's Human & Relations Committee.  In its vast 60 years of existence Sioux Addition has worked in cooperation with various city/state local agencies, programs, and organizations with the same mission or goals to improve the quality of life for the Native family and whole Indian Community.  Sioux Addition operated Rapid City's first Homeless Shelter Mission, strong influence in creating/developing Rapid City IHS Indian Health Board - Sioux San Hospital, ogrinal founding parent of the Lakota Community Homes, As always the Sioux Addition Civic Association continues today to serve the Rapid City, South Dakota area and whole Indian Community.
